HOB and ISP*D Join Forces with Distribution Agreement

Poing, Bavaria, 14.01.2008. ISP*D International Software Partners GmbH in Poing (near Munich, Germany) is now marketing HOB software solutions. The main focus of this internationally active company, headquartered in in Cadolzburg, Germany, is on secure remote connectivity software.

According to the General Manager of ISP*D (International Software Partners) GmbH, Robert Ebner, the two companies are optimal complements to each other: “Through this partnership, our portfolio in the field of remote access solutions will be even more comprehensive. At the same time, HOB will profit from ISP*D's strength in the reseller market and in software consulting.“

HOB GmbH & Co. KG was founded in the mid-60's by Horst Brandstätter; the company's name is an acronym formed from his initials. Today, under the leadership of the two General Managers Klaus Brandstätter (son of the founder) and Franz Wiedenmann, HOB is an internationally active enterprise with about 120 employees in the Cadolzburg headquarters and in branch offices throughout Germany. In addition to this, HOB has subsidiaries in France, Austria, the Netherlands, the USA and Malta.

HOB develops remote connectivity software for enterprise-level deployment. This software comprises: solutions for Windows Terminal Server computing and Windows Remote Access, SSL Security solutions, IP Sec VPN, terminal emulations, Database Connectivity with ODBC and JDBC, software for IBM Mainframes, and the planning, installation and distribution of LAN- and WAN-networks. HOB's core product, HOB Remote Desktop Virtual Private Network (HOB RD VPN), is a modular, comprehensive software suite and helps enterprises  provide to their employees, authorized external partners, business partners, suppliers and customers simple and secure access to enterprise-internal resources. In addition to external and internal access to applications in the enterprise, users can also access their desktop PCs or laptops over the Internet via HOB Desktop-on-Demand. This software solution even enables them to remotely boot the corresponding computer over the remote connection and, of course, subsequently switch it off.

In the current version 1.1.2, HOB RD VPN is fully compatible with MS Windows Vista. Further developments in the various product components are underway, for example on the SSL-Gateway, or the integrated SSL-Proxy, which is responsible for the encryption of the deployed communications protocols. Access to Websites can be configured for individual users or user groups.
